Macmillan Peacehaven Abseil - 8 Aug 2009
A beautiful sunny day - ideal for throwing people off a cliff !!
Just over 50 people were brave, or mad, enough to trust Matt, Mark and the rest of the team to tie them to a rope before the fun began. Despite a few nerves before going over the edge everyone did the abseil and once over most people seemed to start enjoying themselves.
Thanks to Matt, Mark and the rest of the abseil team for all their hard work and of course the usual banter - still not sure about Mark's singing though.
Thanks too to all the Macmillan volunteers who helped out as well as to Jane and Kath for organising the event and Rob and Tris who ran it on the day.
Special thanks to Dave Beasley who was taking photos with me and a mention in memory of Steve Clarkson who helped me out last year and sadly passed away earlier this year with stomach cancer.
Finally a huge thanks to all who jumped - without you I'd have been taking photos of a blank cliff face all day.
Apologies though - we were hoping to print and sell photos on the day but unfortunately had technical hitches with the printer. If you would still like a printed A4 photo then send £5 to Jane or Kath at the Macmillan Hove office and let me know which one & your address by sending me a message through this site's contact page.
